The flagship of our well known MOD40 Modular Moderator series; the MOD40X model combines excelent sound moderating with an ultra low weight.

The MOD40X moderator, consists of four modular aluminum modules, where in the first module is provided with interchangeable threaded adaptors or optionally, our Huma-Air H-LOC Quick Detach System.

Every module is machined out of one piece as a fixed expansion chamber. All of these four modules are also filled with a CNC produced insert made of technical polymer Pom-C.
We designed this insert with a special geometry to reduce the sound of the air blast to an absolute minimum and due it’s extreme strength there are no known power limits in their use.
By creating the X profile we have succeeded in achieving major weight savings; with just ca 220 gram this moderator is one of the lightest, full aluminum, air moderator for airguns in the industry.

The MOD40X is sand blasted for a fine texture and they have a semi gloss black anodized finish.

Due to the modular build of all our moderators this system allows you to configure your own silencer in term of length, caliber and even content of the internal silencer chambers.
Optionally you can add or remove volume chambers to change length and volume of the moderator.
The moderator can be used with the standard POM-C  polymere inserts, or with our metal wired sleeve and our special Kevlar ® enforced ballistic fibers, or even without inserts to gain maximum volume,  all to your own wishes.

By mixing these variables you can influence the frequency and output decibels of your silencer and adjust them perfectly matching your rifle.

Please Note:

When you want to change the threads connection of the moderator you need this tool and use a medium strength treadlocker to fixate the adaptor to the moderator. A threadlocking adhesive like Loctite® 2400 would be fine.
