Snowpeak AP1000 Mercury Air Rifle

AP1000 Mercury: lightweight PCP with adjustable featuresHuub Andriessen

The AP1000 Mercury is a solid, no-frills PCP that punches well above its weight class for the money. At 2400 grams with a folding stock and built-in regulator, it genuinely suits hunters and field shooters who need a compact, portable setup. That said, if you already own a regulated PCP with a stable platform and decent ergonomics, this rifle won't change your shooting fundamentally. It's also not the right choice if you prefer a traditional wood stock or need a single-shot action. The M-LOK handguard and side Picatinny rails are a practical bonus. My tip: start in .22 calibre, it offers the best balance between trajectory and energy across all three available calibres for general use.

Snowpeak AP1000 Mercury Air Rifle

The Snowpeak AP1000 Mercury is a lightweight PCP air rifle designed for easy handling and practical use. Its foldable stock reduces overall length, making the rifle convenient to transport and comfortable to carry during extended shooting sessions.

A built-in regulator ensures consistent output by stabilizing air pressure between shots. Combined with the adjustable trigger, this supports repeatable performance and precise shot control. The low overall weight of just 2400 gram is achieved through the use of durable synthetic components and a carbon barrel shroud.

The skeletonized synthetic buttstock is fitted with a rubber butt pad for a secure shoulder position. An AR-15 style rubber pistol grip provides good ergonomics and control, while the thumb safety allows safe and intuitive operation. The air cylinder runs parallel to the barrel, keeping the rifle well balanced.

Below the air cylinder, the synthetic handguard is equipped with M-LOK slots for mounting a bipod or other accessories. A Weaver/Picatinny rail on top allows easy scope installation, while additional side-mounted Weaver/Picatinny rails provide space for further accessories.
