Huma-Air MOD40 Airgun Moderator Standard
Positioned at the heart of the lineup, the MOD40 Airgun Moderator Standard represents the balanced middle option within our modular moderator range of 30 mm, 40 mm or 50 mm diameters. Designed for shooters who want the best sound reduction for their rifle and setup. The construction consists of a start module with fixed female threads and multiple 40 mm long aluminum modules.
Each module contains a CNC-machined POM-C polymer insert. The geometry is developed to control and disperse the air blast efficiently, reducing muzzle report while maintaining full strength under high air volumes.
The moderator is sandblasted for a fine texture and finished in semi-gloss black anodizing. All parts are precision machined and screw together securely, ensuring correct alignment and easy configuration changes.
Lightweight construction.
The MOD40 moderator is built from aerospace grade aluminum combined with lightweight inserts. This results in a low overall weight compared to many traditional airgun moderators.

You can use the standard inserts or the optional metal wire sleeves with Kevlar® reinforced ballistic fibers, or run the chambers without inserts to maximize internal volume. By adjusting the number of chambers and internal configuration, tone, frequency and overall sound reduction can be tuned to match your rifle setup.
The MOD40 Airgun Moderator Standard is particularly suited for high-power PCP air rifles where consistent and controlled sound reduction is required without adding excessive weight at the muzzle.
Please note: If the moderator is mounted directly onto the threaded barrel, select the same caliber as your rifle. When mounting via an adapter or on a shroud supported by O-rings, it is recommended to select one caliber size larger.

With one extra piece added to the “long” version, so 6/0 instead of 5/0, this made a .177 silent except for the mechanical noises of the action. Product was just as described and good quality, but there should have been a warning about the tariffs and that the handling fees for the tariffs would be even more than the tariffs and all that cost was separate from the high standard shipping costs.

Veel verschillende dempers gezien en gehoord. Deze is perfect wanneer je grotere luchtverplaatsing hebt, doordat je gaat tunen een must-have!
Veel bekende merken zijn veel duurder en hebben minder mogelijkheden om de demper aan te passen bijvoorbeeld inkorten extra demping materiaal enz.
Kwalitatief zeer solide uitgevoerd ben zeer tevreden over alle producten van Huma-air.
Voor m’n FX Wildcat Mk3 de Dual V2 port en grotere probe al eerder hier besteld. Huma-air = nr. 1 in this market.

The mod 40 avalanche has its place among the very best moderators available. The design of the chambers makes for easy tool free adjustment. Fit and finish is top tier but at a price that is far more affordable than other moderators of the same capability
