The Solid Barrel Kit STX solves a real problem, but only if you actually have that problem. If you're shooting pellets at moderate power levels and punching paper at short to medium range, your standard FX barrel setup is more than adequate and this kit won't change much for you. Where it genuinely makes a difference is when you're running slugs at higher power, pushing longer distances, and noticing inconsistent point-of-impact. The precision-ground STX Heavy Liner seated tightly in a solid 14 mm steel housing reduces flex that a standard setup simply can't eliminate. The interchangeable liner system is a practical bonus. My tip: before investing, check your current groups at distance first, if they're already consistent, save your money.

FX Airguns Solid Barrel Kit STX

The FX Solid Barrel Kit STX is designed to increase barrel stability on FX air rifles by replacing the standard outer barrel housing with a massive,  solid steel housing. The STX Superior Heavy Liner inside the housing is precision ground to achieve an accurate and tight fit in the steel housing. This construction reduces flex during use and supports more consistent shot placement, especially when shooting slugs at higher power levels.

The kit is supplied with a FX STX Superior Heavy Liner. This liner is specially developed for slug shooting and features a heavier profile, which helps maintain stability of the projectile. The solid barrel system allows the liner to be exchanged for another one.

With a 14 mm outer diameter, the solid barrel housing provides a rigid platform that limits movement and flex and minimises the chance of point-of-impact shift. This is particularly relevant for longer distances shooting or when using higher energy settings.

All required mounting components are included; the solid barrel kit comes with several model transfer ports / barrel inlets so it is compatible with almost all FX Airrifles using the STX barrel systems. The shroud of your rifle can be replaced on the the Solid Barrel.

Please note: The FX Crown Superlight and Dreamline Superlight models are not compatible with this barrel system as it does not fit inside the shroud.
